Kristi & Bill Cline were introduced to each other 21 years ago when Bill was Stationed with the United States Coast Guard at Station Yaquina Bay in Newport. They have been married for 19 years and have two kids; Hudson (14) and Madison (12).
Kristi was raised in Lincoln County, but their family moved throughout the United States when Bill was in the Coast Guard. They moved back to Lincoln County for good 5 years ago and in 2024 Bill retired from the military after 22 years of service. He now works for Central Lincoln PUD as the Safety Coordinator and Kristi is a local Real Estate Broker and is involved in the Newport Rotary youth exchange program.
While they both enjoy adventures such as travel, hiking and running their hobby farm. Being dancers for Dancing with the Coastal Stars is an entirely new adventure, as before now they had never had one dance lesson! They are teamed up with coaches Helyn Layton and Baylee Layton and will be learning a choreographed contemporary style dance.
Dancing on a stage is admittedly outside of their comfort zone, but they love Samaritan House and are willing to go outside of both of their comfort zones for a cause they feel passionate about. “Samaritan House provides an incredible amount of support and opportunity to those in need. “We’ve seen it do wonders for those we’ve known” says Kristi.
