Free Parenting Education

In 2015, Samaritan House began providing free parenting classes to the community at large, specifically targeting families who are court-ordered to complete an evidence-based parenting education program.

We had already been using the Nurturing Parenting curriculum in our own resident education programming with great results. Through a partnership with Reconnections Drug and Alcohol Counseling, Samaritan House now offers Nurturing Parenting classes in the Lincoln County Jail (for both female and male inmates) and in the community for any parent who needs to complete a class. Classes are held on Tuesday afternoons at the Samaritan Center for Health Education. For more information about our next class, contact the office.
