Ashley and Cameron Garner have shared life and the dance floor, since meeting in college in 2008. Married in 2010 their connection was instant, sparked by Cameron’s voice and unmistakable baby blue eyes. They have called Lincoln County home for the past nine years, raising three vibrant daughters (ages 12,10 and 8) and staying deeply rooted in their community.
Cameron works as a pharmacist at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital and is a familiar face on stage at the Performing Arts Center, where he shares his talent for music and theater. Ashley is a full-time home-school parent and brings her lifelong passion for dance to the local studio where she teaches in the evenings. A former clogger and college folk dancer, she has choreographed for community theater and taught group fitness for over a decade, always chasing the magic of movement turned into storytelling.
Together the couple wear many hats, including being organizers of the Newport’s Loyalty Days Parade, youth group leaders, summer theater mentors, and full-time adventure-seekers who love hiking, game nights and making memories with their girls. In 2022, they began ballroom dancing as a couple and discovered a whole new kind of connection through partner dance.
Dancing with the Coastal Stars has been a dream years in the making, when the opportunity came, their response was a resounding “yes!” They are thrilled to be a part of an event that combines creativity, community and a cause they deeply care about. Over the years, they’ve supported Samaritan House through youth group service projects and hands-on involvement. They are proud to now support their mission on the dance floor, helping provide safe, affordable housing and brighter futures for local families.
