Project Homeless Connect
Since 2012, Samaritan House has been the fiscal agent and steering committee chairperson for Project Homeless Connect.
PHC is a one-day, one-stop shop for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, or at risk of experiencing homelessness. Representatives from nearly 30 different agencies and service providers are on hand to provide information and referral services, as well as tangible goods like sleeping bags, socks, hats and gloves. Through a partnership with the Retired Senior and Volunteer Project, PHC hosts nearly 100 volunteers who serve in a variety of roles including: food preparation, intake and paperwork, client escorting (helping event attendees figure out who to talk to about their needs), pet care, haircuts and much much more!
