Minda Stiles and Itchung Cheung

Minda Stiles and Itchung Cheung feel lucky to call Newport home and to be able to contribute to their community. Both work at the Hatfield Marine Science Center, where Itchung teaches and manages the academic programs, and Minda provides administrative support to marine mammal researchers.

When not on the job, Minda volunteers with Porthole Players, sings in the band Malarkey Stiles and performs on stage when she has time. When not with his kids, Itchung supports the sciences, education, the arts, and enjoys a good Chinese hot pot ping pong party.

They look forward to the event they are calling “dance boot camp” because “we value the mission of Samaritan House and what it does to support families in our community.”
