Samaritan House sponsors a number of special events throughout the year.
First Wednesdays - Dine out for Samaritan House. (Fall-Winter-Spring Only)
Gardening on the Edge - Oregon Coast Gardening & Landscaping Expo Saturday, June 26th 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Newport Middle School, 825 NE 7th Street, Newport, Oregon
Plant shop till you drop with over 40 of the Northwest's leading growers and sellers with a wide variety of plants under one roof, including the rare and unusual! Plus garden tools, accessories, garden clothing and more! Eight seminars by gardening experts, including Ed Hume of "Gardening in America" and Kym Pokorny, garden writer for The Oregonian. Master Gardener Plant Clinic & Help Center, Plant Check Zone, Plant Taxi, and garden tool sharpening! Lunch and refreshments available. At the Samaritan House booth you can enter for door prizes, purchase Secret Garden Tour tickets, or buy Samaritan House Cup o' Caring organic, Fair Trade certified coffee! Admission is $5 per person.
2010 Secret Garden Tour & Garden Party - Sunday, June 27th Noon - 6 pm
Tour eight garden gems in Gleneden Beach and the Salishan Spit. The Salishan Spit gardens will be reached by bus---several busses will make round trips, so you can go at your own pace to visit the gardens. This year's gardens offer a wonderful variety of both professional and hobbyist landscaping, natural settings, containers, vegetable gardens, and even a miniature railroad! Ticket price of $20 per person includes lunch and door prize entry.
An online Silent Art Auction will be part of this event for the first time, and computers will be available for bidding (with volunteers to assist "non-techies") --- or you can bid from your home computer via this website through noon on Monday, June 28. Click on the "Auction" tab to view the items. If you wish to bid, you must first create a user account and accept the "Terms of Use" for the auction site.

Let us know by adding a comment if you would like to pick up your tickets at the Garden Expo or at the Gleneden Beach Fire Station, or if you would like them mailed to you (must be ordered by June 18 for mailing.)
On Saturday, June 26th, tickets may be purchased at the Gardening on the Edge Expo, and on Sunday, June 27th, tickets may be purchased at the Gleneden Beach Fire Station.
